Tampa Riverwalk

Bicycling is one of the best fun things to do for all age groups and you can definitely enjoy this experience with kids at Riverwalk in Tampa. Note that Tampa Riverwalk is basically 2.6 miles long wide open space that is developed beside the Hillsborough River.

Here you can enjoy cycling with kids while sharing some memorable moments among the scenic views. During the Christmas holidays, the Riverwalk also hosts many light shows where you can capture some fun moments with family.

Two things to note: The scooters slow down on the river walk and in some places do not work at all. This is not like the San Antonio Riverwalk with shops and restaurants. 

Gasparilla Pirate Ship

Bring out Captain Jack Sparrow during your visit to the popular annual event of Tampa. Right from the year 1904, people celebrate a pirate-themed parade almost every year in the name of Gasparilla. The children’s events have been also started at this parade since 1947. This celebration is organized in the month of January last Saturday. So, you can plan your trip in advance to have some fun with kids in Tampa. There is a 165-foot-long pirate ship that was designed in 1954.
