One of the best ways to explore the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood is to take a food tour through the area with Cincinnati Food Tours. Their tours are super affordable only $20-$45 per person and crazy informative. The gal that gives the tours has lived here forever and she can go in-depth on each building, who owns what, what things used to be, what they are going to be in the future, explanations on the many murals painted on buildings and more.
I highly recommend skipping breakfast before the tour, since you are going to fill up on treats during it. But I do not recommend skipping coffee before the tour. It is a ways into the tour before you get a beverage selection.
As you can see from the pictures the foods you try throughout the tour are pretty tasty. Shown above is a macaron tower at Macaron Bar, the go to place for macarons. Not only do they taste amazing, but they use local ingredients.
When we walked through Findlay Market we stopped at Taste of Belgium where the waffles are so good you don it need syrup.
I loved the wall at Brezel the German pretzel place we visited. They specialize in gourmet hand rolled Bavarian style pretzels. 
It was quite a bit of walking. 
You can’t have a good tour without stopping by Holtman’s donut shop. They are the most in demand donuts in town and well worth the wait. There is usually a long line to get inside and order.
One of my favorite stops was at the 1215 Wine Bar and Coffee Lab. I skipped the coffee and went with wine instead. I had a Hirsch Beaujolais Village 2015 Gamay. You just can’t go wrong with a good Gamay.
